Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services (Wraparound):

Is an intensive mental health service offered to children and young adults age 21 and younger. This service “wraps” itself around the identified child to help prevent a more restrictive placement.  These comprehensive services can be delivered in the home, school, and community to children and adolescents who require intervention in these settings, depending upon the area of need.

Student Assistance Program (SAP):

This program offers school-based consultative, assessment and referral services in 7 area school districts.  The program is designed to address Children and families that are having difficulties accessing behavioral health services. Services are requested when a child/adolescent displays behaviors that are negatively affecting performance in school and relationships within the home. Improving the lives of the children/adolescents served is based upon quickly and efficiently accessing behavioral health services when a family is deteriorating in an emotionally fragile situation.  In many documented cases this is a child and family’s first experience accessing behavioral health services.  The SAP Liaison can initiate contact with a provider at most within a week of receiving the referral. This program prevents further emotional deterioration with the family and the child.  This program supports rebuilding health and well being to the family. With the expertise the SAP Liaison in the school building enables the school and family immediate access to community resources. For more detailed information click here.

Berks County Brief Treatment:

Provides home and school based multi-disciplinary treatment similar to Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services but with a more focused and limited duration (time-limited to a period of 32 weeks). Brief Treatment is considered more intensive than outpatient therapy and less intensive than Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services. For more detailed information click here.

Extended Assessment-Program:

This program is available to children and families in Chester and Montgomery Counties who request community based treatment or who present with complex needs that may be difficult to fully assess in an office setting. The goal of the service is to determine the most appropriate level and intensity of care through a comprehensive evaluation of the child in all life domains.

The Extended Assessment program is authorized for a total of twenty four hours of service that can take place over a two-month time period. Clinicians will meet with the child and family in their natural settings (home, school and community) to observe behaviors and collect additional information needed to make an appropriate recommendation for services.
