Education:

M.S., counseling psychology from Chestnut Hill College

Married? Yes, to my high school sweetheart
How many children? I have one daughter
How long have you been with Creative Health Services? I first began working at Creative Health Services in 2005, following a one year internship here.
In your words, what do you do at Creative Health Services? I get the honor of helping people in their journey to recovery every day in the form of individual therapy.  I also provide clinical supervision to our wonderful team of Recovery Coaches who work with our consumers in the community.
Why do you do what you do? I have overcome obstacles in my own life, and I enjoy being able to help others to do the same.  People often comment to me that my line of work must be difficult to do, and while it can be difficult to bear witness to another's pain, it is also an amazing thing to be able to witness someone's recovery from that pain.  There simply is no other job like it, in my opinion.
What keeps you working with Creative Health Services? In my time here at CHS I have gotten to work with so many amazing people, both staff and consumers alike.  This is really the main reason why I work here. In addition, as a therapist I feel I have gained a great breadth of experience working here due to the wide range of opportunities CHS has provided.
In your time with Creative Health Services, what accomplishments are you most proud of? I am proud of the agency as a whole for how much it has grown and flourished since I first came here.  As a therapist I really have to say that I am most proud of my consumers!
What's your favorite part of your job? I would have to say that my favorite part of my job is seeing people learn new things about themselves, and new ways of being in the world.  When people become empowered and realize that they really can create change in their own lives, that is just the best thing, and really it is why I love being a therapist.
What do you value most in life? Ooh, that is a really tough question!  I think I would need a lot more time to really give this question the consideration it deserves, but my initial reaction is that I most value my own humanity.  And by this, I mean my ability to think and to feel, not only for myself but with regards to others as well.
Favorite TV shows: True Blood, CSI, Paranormal State, The City, all of the "Real Housewives" shows, and I really like the new MTV show, "If You Really Knew Me".
Favorite movies: American Beauty, Crash, Sleepy Hollow, Twilight, and all of the Harry Potter movies!
Favorite author(s)/books(s): I love to read and I read all kinds of books.  I usually go for psychological thrillers or mysteries but right now I am really into the Sookie Stackhouse series.
One food I could not live without is my Dad's cooking!  Really anything he makes is just always the best.
Favorite musical groups:
Now:
I listen to all types of music!
Tori Amos, Pink Floyd, Vanessa Carlton
When I was in Jr. High: Tori Amos, Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam, Jefferson Airplane.
How do you relieve stress? Go to the beach, watch movies, talk/vent to close family/friends
Hobbies and/or other interest: I love to knit and crochet.  I really could live at Michaels craft store!
Things I am passionate about: personal growth, mental health, spirituality
If you could possess one superpower, what would it be? I always thought it would be cool to be able to fly.
What is your favorite day of the year? I can't really narrow it down to a specific day, but I really love the fall season, expecially when you can smell the leaves in the air.
Do you have any hidden talents? If I shared them with you then they wouldn't be hidden talents anymore, would they?
When I die, this is what I want remembered about me: This is another one of those really tough questions.  I think I really just want to be remembered.
One of your favorite quotes:
Plant a seed, if it grows, then it was meant to be
