Married?    Yes
How many children? Three daughters
How long have you been with Creative Health Services? Four years
In your words, what do you do at Creative Health Services? I provide administrative and clinical oversight of all programs and services.  I generally muck about and try and keep people satisfied.  Occasionally I look at numbers, and reports, and nod sagely.
Why do you do what you do? I have always enjoyed public behavioral healthcare and particularly enjoy bossing people around.  Management seems to suit me.  But not the wearing suits part.  Suits don’t suit me at all.
What keeps you working with Creative Health Services? The people
In your time with Creative Health Services, what accomplishment are you most proud of? Working with the staff and board to re-envision Creative Health’s role in the community, culminating in the development of our main location at 11 Robinson Street in Pottstown. I am particularly proud of the design, which not only makes Creative Health more innovative, but also clearly demonstrates the importance of both our staff and clients.
What’s your favorite part of your job? The bossing people around bit comes to mind. Also, working to come up with innovative ways to solve old problems. Not so much all the meetings and the wearing of suits.
What do you value most in life? My children

Things I am passionate about: The people of Creative Health. Social justice (but not socialism). Good design. But mostly, my wife and children.
If you could possess one superpower, what would it be? For a sci-fi and comic book geek like me, this is an impossible question because all single superpowers have significant weaknesses unless paired with another. For example, what good is super strength without invulnerability? If the power is a healing factor, like Wolverine’s, a life of loneliness awaits you as all who you love age and die as you stay the same. I have thought about this question for weeks and still cannot decide. So, I guess I will go with flying. That would be cool, but kind of cold.
What is your favorite day of the year?
Saturday
Do you have any hidden talents? I’m pretty good with tools. Not good at all with music.
When I die, this is what I want remembered about me: I want to be remembered as a good father. That’s it. If I get that, my life is complete.
One of your favorite quotes:

“I love deadlines. I love the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.” - Douglas Adams

I like Douglas Adams quotes in general and the above is my absolute favorite. I am also fond of these by him:

“In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.”

“He was a dreamer, a thinker, a speculative philosopher... or, as his wife would have it, an idiot.”

“Flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.”

“A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.”

“You live and learn. At any rate, you live.”

And

“If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.”

(I’m not so much good at picking only one of something.)

Anything else you want to add? I hope everyone knows the “bossing people around” bit was a joke. Really, my role is to support everyone else and build strong teams. Bossing around has very little to do with it.

Check back regularly for a growing list of staff and an interesting survey we asked them to complete.
