STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Student Assistance Program provides services
throughout the school year to seven school districts and one local private school.
These include Boyertown, Pottsgrove, Pottstown, Perkiomen Valley, Spring-ford, Owen J.
Roberts, St. Pius and Upper Perkiomen Valley. The S.A.P. primarily focuses on middle
and high school students. The S.A.P. liaison works closely with a team from each
school to identify students at risk for mental health/or drug and alcohol problems.
An assessment is conducted by the S.A.P. liaison with the student and parents/guardian to
determine which services are needed. The S.A.P. liason also facilitates groups on
such topics as self-esteem, conflict resolution, changing, etc.. The services recommended
include:

Hospitalization
